Brass;The compass has a 5" long edge-bar needle with a jeweled
pivot, mounted inside a 6" diameter housing. The compass is mounted
on an 14" long x 4mm thick brass base plate, detachable sight vanes,
crossed bubble levels and needle lifter on the underside .
The mahogany case—cracked lid—has a trade label inside :
