This early surveying measurement tool is in very good condition. It is our understanding it was used to measure lot sizes as far back as the 19th century. Each link measures 7 inches long and are made of iron. Tags and handles are brass. There is some surface rust on the links. We did not measure it, but it seems to be approximately 50' in length.
