K & E Surveying Transit, case, THE BEST

This instrument is a collectors dream if he is looking to upgrade his collection. Absolutely pristine in every respect, right down to the nice box with a key and a full complement of tools and accessories., all in mint condition. Serial no. 195081, from the 40s. I can find no defects and it is clean from top to bottom. I hope the photos tell the story, but if not, e-mail me for more. NOTE: I have a very nice tripod with brass fittings that fits this instrument. I am listing it for sale immediately following this listing if you are interested.

MY TERMS: If I have left anything out or if you have any questions, please email me before bidding, allowing sufficient time for a reply. I will answer you if I can. Buyer pays shipping costs, insurance and the cost of professional packing or crating if requested. It will ship by UPS with no problem. I will make contact immediately after auction closes and expect an email reply within 48 hours - payment within 7 calendar days. M/O gets immediate shipment. Checks must clear unless I am satisfied with Buyers feedback. Auction may be cancelled if eBay malfunctions in last 2 hours of sale. On May-04-00 at 08:54:36 PDT, seller added the following information:

MY APOLOGIES! There IS a defect - the left side of the main plate has an area where the paint is scratched through into the brass. This is where the brace in the door of the box bears on the side of the plate when stored in the case. This area shows in the photos. I'm embarassed that I missed this in the description as it is quite obvious.
