In Excellent Condition!
This valuable antiuque was aquired by a friend of mine while setteling an estate. We've already had some offers but we wanted to open this up for a serious collector!
After receiving several questions here is some more informantion that might help you in deciding on your bids.
-It comes with the original carrying case which I must say is in excellent condition.
-The focus is in good working order.
-The crosshairs are intact.
-It is the original brass finish is perfect and has NEVER been repolished.
-This dates back to c. 1850's and predates the process of serial numbering.
-The condition of the box is excellent.
More importantly -This antique was kept (carefully) packed away for a long time and hasn't seen the light of day in decades.
-Several local authenticators have given us a good value on this item and has verified that it is origional and in excellent condition.
-Gurley representatives, the manufacturer, has verified it's authenticy and its condition and has verified that the reason it is without serial numbers is that it predates the use of them.
