Description
This item is a vintage Brass Surveyors Transit, it is a H. Shultz Ledder & Probst, Boston - Paris. No A3 Patent, (this is on the face plate) with the original tripod. The tripod is all heavy wood, probably oak, it has all brass bound connectors with wing tips. It stands 57" tall. The transit itself is 13" high. The optics are complete and working. The rear lens adjusts, and it can be sighted and viewed. There is a brass lens cap. Bubbles are there and in tact, hope this shows in the picture. I show several close-ups, please let all of them load. The original measure stick is inluded. As you can see, it is large, long, and heavy. S&H will be at cost from 37660 Zip Code to you!!! Please take note of the wonderful dovetailed box. There is a wood handled screwdriver mounted on the inside of the box door, is held by original leather strap. The label on the inside of the box reads "Abbott & McKay technical supplies". Box measures 15 X 11 X 9 deep. Please ask any questions, I will answer all. Good luck!
