This is a large antique brass surveyors compass.It is made by
W+SE Gurley Co. of Troy NY.The name is engraved into the face of the compass.It
is 15"long by 8" wide.It has the original dovetailed box,It's brass cover.brass
plumb and other adjustments.It was sold in Philadelphia by Heller& Brightly.
It also has a 58" wooden tripod with brass swivell and adjustment.The condition
is good ,I did not touch it ,it has some surface tarnish and minor pitting.email
