A SUPERB iron and brass engineer / surveyor / railroad / builder’s land measurement / surveying chain.

This chain measures 100 feet in length, with 100 iron links - each connected by two oval rings. Chain has one mid-way in-line swivel, brass tellers / tallies or tally tabs every 10th link of 1, 2, 3, and 4 notches with the middle tab rounded. Chain with two brass "D" shaped swivel handles each marked 100 ft. This chain is signed by the maker "CHESTERMAN / SHEFFIELD / ENGLAND".
This survey chain is in OUTSTANDING unused or little used condition - no rust, no pitting on iron, a fine well-preserved chain. Buyer satisfaction guaranteed.
