Description

This is an AWESOME 516 Page Manual dated 1910. It is the forty-fifth edition of the 1845 Gurley's Manual of American Engineers' and Surveyors' Instruments. The pictures of the very old tools and instruments used in the 1800' and early 1900's are absolutely super. There a both black & white as well as numerous color pictures of strange looking devices. I hope the pictures i took do this book justice, there are pictures of things I have never heard of: like a Pocket Railroad Compass; A Telescopic Solar?; a Solar Compass, and lots more, too many to list. It contains a price list for ton's of mail order instruments, just reading the list of things available in 1910 is fun. The book is in fair condition for its age, the previous owners name is written inside, the book has a few blemishs & is alittle splotchy on the cover but all things considered still in good condition. It looks like this book has been used often over the last near century, and would be a welcomed addition to anyone's library. I have quite a few surveying & engineering books to put on ebay in the near future. Please feel free to email me with any questions & thanks for looking.
