The item you are bidding on is a,W.L. E . GURLEY TROY NY BRASS COMPASS.This item is very old. The only item that I have with this item that tells me about how old this item is,is an engraved badge that the compass was presented to. The badge reads as follow,
  • PRESENTED TO W.HENRY MICE, ENGINEER TO THE , MANCHESTER SHIP CANAL COMPANY , BY THE STAFF, ON THE OCCASION OF HIS MARRIAGE, 22ND MARCH 1895
I tried to take pictures of everything with this item. It does have the original wooden box.Please ask any questions, I will try to answer the best that I can.
