This is a very, very old wooden surveying transit. The indise is a compass with glass cover which has a crack , but is tight. It is 14" long and approx 6" diameter to the round area. The wooden cover is held with two pieces of raw hide. There is a brass fitting underneath for attaching to a pole....Thanks for looking.
