These are the original survey books and transit notes used when they were surveying into Montana and west across the state for the Pacific Coast extension of the Chicago, Milwaukee, and St. Paul Railway. There are 25 transit books and 8 books of survey notes (Total of 33). The scan shows the cover of one of the transit books. The covers on the books are leather or leatherette. The dates cover January to June, 1906. The total weight is approximately 22 pounds. Buyer pays actual shipping costs. Any questions please e-mail me. Terrific historical value, something that is not likely to surface often or at all.
