I will do my best to describe this item as not familar with the
instrument. It is mounted on a 10 1/2" x 7" piece of walnut. It is manufactured
by C. L. Berger and Sons from Boston. Has date on face of compass as March 2,
1897. Also has the # 2950 on face. Compass lens very clear. Everything appears
to be in good working condition. There does need to be some cleaning done to it.
It stands 15" tall. Dial face is 4 1/4" in diameter. It has two scopes, Top one
measures 7 1/2" extended and lower and longest one measures 11" extended. They
have focus adjustment and two bubble levels. It also has another dial on it
showing number or degrees. It has two filters or maybe called lens covers for
glare, etc. These are mounted on platform. It has walnut stained case with
leather handle which is in good condition for age. The transit in case weighs
approximately 30 lbs. There is a 2 day guarantee from delivery date
(notification to seller by E-mail)but buyer will be responsible for shipment
costs back to seller if returned. Buyer to pay $45 shipping which will include
insurance. Please check and the pictures and if you have questions I will do my
best to answer. Thank you.
