Description

Early Surveyor's Compass / Boeringer & Klein

This is an old surveyors compass that was made by the St. Louis firm of Boeringer & Klein. There label is on the inside of the original dovetailed box and their name is also on the dial of the instrument. The box looks to have been refinished at one time. The instrument comes with the original screw on siting posts. There are two different bubble levels. There are two screws on the bottom but I'm not sure what they do. The one that adjusts the outside scale seems to be stripped and I'd guess will need attention. The glass is cracked. The dial is dirty and I'd guess the instrument will need to be gone over by someone who knows what they're doing. It measures 14 1/2" long. Please ask questions and I will answer. It is reserved at just what I paid. Buyer to pay the actual cost of shipping and Ins. Thanks!!

Money Order, Check or Paypal payment must be received within ten days of auction close date, unless previous arrangements have been made. Please allow time for checks to clear or send m.o. for quick shipping. All shipping prices are quoted for delivery within the United States. All others, please email for shipping quotes. Thank you. Details for the seller and high bidder(s):
The seller should contact the winning bidder(s) with information on the total cost, including shipping, and where to send payment. The winning bidder(s) must pay the seller directly for the item(s), and it is the seller's responsibility to fulfill the order when payment terms are met. The binding contract of the auction is between the winning bidder and the seller.

If the seller is unable to establish contact with the high bidder within 3 business days of the end of the auction, he/she may lose the place as winning bidder, and be at risk for receiving negative feedback and/or a Non-Paying Bidder warning, both of which can ultimately lead to suspension from eBay.
