Early
Surveyor's Compass / Boeringer &
Klein | This is an old surveyors compass that was made by the St. Louis
firm of Boeringer & Klein. There label is on the inside of the
original dovetailed box and their name is also on the dial of the
instrument. The box looks to have been refinished at one time. The
instrument comes with the original screw on siting posts. There are two
different bubble levels. There are two screws on the bottom but I'm not
sure what they do. The one that adjusts the outside scale seems to be
stripped and I'd guess will need attention. The glass is cracked. The dial
is dirty and I'd guess the instrument will need to be gone over by someone
who knows what they're doing. It measures 14 1/2" long. Please ask
questions and I will answer. It is reserved at just what I paid. Buyer to
pay the actual cost of shipping and Ins. Thanks!!
