Description |
Condition: wooden case and tripod have normal use and age wear scratches. Compass is overall very clean with no repairs or damage seen. Minor age patina but no major corrosion seen. Could be polished easily to new condition. Though not experts , we believe this instrument is complete, but are selling it as-found, as-is. Case has holders for tripod swivel ball and leather straps, as well as the two vertical brass sights (2). No key to case lock. A very early Gurley instrument! Heavy weight and fine quality ! Please! Sorry! Our scans are very poor! The condition of the face is very good with sharp numerals and no significant surface oxydation seen!.
YES! The two original heavyweight (brass) viewing sights for this
instrument are secured in brackets in the bottom of the fitted case! ..as is a
place for the gimbal mounting ball for the tripod.
