YOUNG & SONS TRANSIT - 1905 VINTAGE. VERY NICE INSTRUMENT. THE SCOPE IS 11 INCHES LONG, COMPASS NEEDLE IS 4 1/4 INCHES LONG, TOTAL HEIGHT TO THE TOP OF THE 'A' FRAME IS 11 INCHES. PATINA IS CONSISTENT. SOME PARTS HAD SOME FINISH ORIGINALLY BUT IT IS DIFFICULT TO TELL WHICH PARTS WERE COATED AND WHAT THE COATING WAS. THE WINDOWS DISPLAYING THE SCALE AT THE 'SE' AND 'NW' LOCATIONS ON THE COMPASS ARE LABELLED 'A' AND 'B' AND ARE GOOD. THE SHIELDS FOR THE WINDOWS APPEAR ORIGINAL. OPTICS ARE GOOD AND CLEAR. THERE IS NO CROSS HAIR. ALL LEVELS HAVE FLUID. PICTURES SHOULD GIVE THE DETAILS. THERE IS NO BOX OR OTHER ACCESSORIES WITH THIS INSTRUMENT. CHECK, MONEY ORDER, PAYPAL OR BILLPOINT ACCEPTED.
