Description

American Engineers & Surveryors Instruments,1888. A Manual of the Principal Instruments used in American Engineering and Surveying, manufactured by W. & L. E. Gurley, Troy, NY, 27th edition. Printer and stationer, Benj D. Benson. Size is 6 ½” x 4 ½”. 362 pgs & table of contents. Brown leather with gilt lettering. No fraying of material. Owner’s name penciled in front endp. B/W drawing of building on page facing title pg. Pages clean, very narrow 1/16” water stains on center of edge of last 5 pages. Back endpaper top corner is bent over. Really interesting book with many, many pictures, cost of instruments and the post(mailing) charges; books for sale; about the Civil Engineering course of study offered by The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy. Board of Trustees in November, 1887. Money order preferred (positive fdbk over 100, personal check OK). Buyer pays $2.25 s/h. Thanks for looking and check my other auctions.
