This piece was just
found in the attic of a 200 year old Columbia County home. It is still dusty.
The Dovetaled box is 16&1/2" long. and in Excellent condition with no
damage. Could use some cleaning up. Leather strap is still intact. Compass is
15&1/2" long and 7" in diameter. Everything works perfectly. It is all
original and untouched. Tripod is 61" long and all hardware is present. The
level belonged to Steven Avery of Columbia County. Included in the deal are 2
photos of him, and 2 Books. Manual for the use of the Legislature of the State
of New York - 1871 - With S Avery engraved on the cover in Gold. Report of the
Geology of the Henry Mountains Geological Survey. Mr Avery was a Surveyor and a
Lawyer. What a great Historical Group. As with all of our Antiques, everything
