Description

This item is a c1830 small folio, manuscript book on surveying practice. Done in calligraphic pen and ink with watercolor and pen and ink drawings. There are 15 watercolor illustrations. Binding is still good but a bit frayed at the bottom. On medium weight laid paper. Back quarter of book was apparently blank and was removed for the paper at some time with loss to most of the last page. 82 pages total. Title in black pen is "A Treatise of Practical Surveying By Robert Gibson with Alterations and Amendments Adapted to the use of Schools or American Surveyors". With John T. Mason in blue pen under the title. In very good condition for this type of book. Shipping will be $3.50 plus insurance. Can process credit cards. $125 reserve.
