Description |
For all you collector's, here is a fantastic
example of American workmanship. In the history of Easton published in 1886 the
following statement appears: "A strong prejudice for foreign made instruments
was only slowly overcome. Pool's work was said not only to equal but even to
excel the imported." This surveryor's compass, made by Horace M.
Pool(1804-1879), is in exceptional condition. It measures approx. 16" in length
and the dial size is 6.5"; including a 6" needle. The dial is rather clean as
well as the vanes and two bubble levels. There is no box with this auction, but
you are bidding on a great survey item. Please ask questions before bidding.
High bidder pays actual shipping costs.
