Description
Circa late 1800's 6" needle W. & L.E. Gurly surveryors compass, made in Troy, New York. Comes in its original walnut box. Included is a tree scribe, one small brass wrench, two brass sight bars, wooden tri-pod with brass hardware, two of the worlds oldest crayons, and even the brass plumb bob with it's small cloth sack. Dial is in excellent condition. The box(walnut)has a nice finish to it. The rivited leather stap is broken, but still looks nice. The key to the lock has been lost, but the latches still work. The inside of the box is in excellent condition, and the label is mint. The walnut tri-pod and it's hardware are in excellent shape. One leg on the tri-pod looks as though it may have been replaced by an expert, but I am not certain (it is missing a fillet that the others have). It is rare to find such a complete set such as this. I would request that the buyer pays 80 dollars for professional packaging and insured shipping. thanks for bidding! please email with questions.

If you're the seller or the high bidder - now what?

  1. Contact each other. The seller (fatboy@voyager.net) and the high bidder (treeman6) should contact each other within three business days to discuss payment and shipping details.

  2. Leave feedback for the other party once the the seller has received the payment and the winning bidder has received the item.
Leave feedback to seller - Leave feedback to bidder.

Details for the seller and high bidder(s):
The seller should contact the winning bidder(s) with information on the total cost, including shipping, and where to send payment. The winning bidder(s) must pay the seller directly for the item(s), and it is the seller's responsibility to fulfill the order when payment terms are met. The binding contract of the auction is between the winning bidder and the seller.

If the seller is unable to establish contact with the high bidder within 3 business days, the seller may contact the next highest bidder. Therefore, if the high bidder does not contact the seller within 3 business days of the end of the auction, he/she may lose the place as winning bidder, and be at risk for receiving negative feedback and/or a Non-Paying Bidder warning, both of which can ultimately lead to suspension from eBay.
