Description
Given the fact that this book is 100 years old, it's in wonderful condition. Titled "GURLEY"S MANUAL" American Engineers' and Surveyors' Instruments" and subtitled ' A Manual Of The Principal Instruments Used in American Engineering and Surveying', it's the thirty fifth edition authored by W & L E GURLEY and was published in 1901. It has a soft linen cover with gold lettering and bronze page ends. It's very tight with no markings or tears. Pages 93 -96 have knicks on the outer edges and pages 423 to the back cover, have a clean hole punched through as might have been made with a compass. There's a rub-through on the linen on the upper left corner of the front cover. There are no other notable conditions of a negative nature. Total pages number 440. This book has wonderful graphics, numerous charts and prices. It's actually a catalog with prices on Civil Engineering tool as they were a century ago - AND a wealth of information for the tool collector of today. It includes a history of the W.&L.E. Gurley Instrument Manufactory of Troy, N Y. This is a RARE book and I've been unable to find even one copy in any of 30 online bookstores. N Y residents add 8% sales tax. Money orders preferred - checks OK but must clear before item is shipped. Thanks for looking and good luck. Auctions with no bids may be ended early. There are Photos below but please feel free to email me mailto:jnkman1@webtv.net

Details for the seller and high bidder(s):
The seller should contact the winning bidder(s) with information on the total cost, including shipping, and where to send payment. The winning bidder(s) must pay the seller directly for the item(s), and it is the seller's responsibility to fulfill the order when payment terms are met. The binding contract of the auction is between the winning bidder and the seller.

If the seller is unable to establish contact with the high bidder within 3 business days of the end of the auction, he/she may lose the place as winning bidder, and be at risk for receiving negative feedback and/or a Non-Paying Bidder warning, both of which can ultimately lead to suspension from eBay.
