1910 Gurley's Manual Engineers, Surveying

 
 

 

 

This is a semi hard cover book, 4 1/2" x 6 5/8", dated 1910, with 516 pages and is called A Manual of the principal Instruments used in American Engineering And Surveying, manufactured by W.&L.E. Gurley, Troy NY.

This book is of good quality paper with wonderful detailed pictures with color in them of surveying instruments. Boo starts out with Transit instruments, talks about different types plus pictures many different ones, continues with attachments. Further in, Surveyor's compasses plus pictures are discussed. Next are Smaller Fields Instruments that include pocket solar compass, Pocket Railroad Compass, Pocket Vernier Compass, and more. Much more follows and in the back of the book is Price List of Civil Engineers' and Surveyor's Instruments and Supplies. This large section, gives details and pictures of many tools used in Surveying.

Nice book.

Book has all over general wear, frayed binding ends and a lightly faded binding skin.

Buyer pays $ 5.40 priority shipping plus insurance if buyer wants for domestic orders. This way you know what you are paying up front. Books, records and tapes will be shipped book rate and larger items will be shipped UPS and will need a street address to keep the shipping rates as low as possible. International orders will be figured with straight shipping as before. Shipping could vary if not served by ground UPS-for example:Alaska, Hawaii.
