Description |
A very nice American surveyors vernier compass signed W.C. Davis, New York, circa mid 1800’s. The instrument measures ~12.5” long, the sight vanes are ~5.45” tall, and the needle is ~4”. The brass has not been polished or cleaned, and remnants of the original finish remain. The engraving on the dial is very nice. The original cover for the compass is included. There are two level vials that are in good condition. The needle lifter thumbscrew is lacking. Please email any questions. Cashiers check or money order only please. Will ship within the United States only. Buyer pays $15.00 for US Postal Service Priority Mail shipping and insurance.
