W.&L.E. Gurley Scientific Instruments Co. Surveyor's Transit. Beautiful Condition. S/N 23957, 1923, Black enamel over solid brass. Silver compass dials, green enamel compass face. Telescope, compass, level vials are complete and functional.All bearings are like new. This unit was very well cared for. The transit was used in 1989 to survey my property and was compared to a Nikon transit at that time and found to be of the same accuracy (slightly better actually!). Transit comes w/ locking box & key, original sales receipt!,set-up details, screw driver, Bauch & Lomb eye loupe, adjusting pin driver for adjusting the setting screws and locksing rings, and the original plumb bob. The strap on the box is NOT original. Buyer pays $30. shipping and insurance. Ships when check clears my bank, Money Order ships same day. Bid high, this unit is nice, will be appreciated by anyone who knows Gurley Transit's and fine tools. Good Luck...
