Description

There are 4 pictures...please wait for them all to load! A wonderful old surveyor's Transit that has survived the ravages of time and tinkerers! Made by Keuffel & Esser Co, NY, there are 3 patent dates on it, one from 1889 and two from 1891. It stands 12" high (without the wooden board); the scope is 10+" long without the hood. One level has lost its liquid...an easy fix. All the adjusting knobs are original. The compass needle and glass are original and intact. Finish is nice too - clean, but not shiny. Original walnut case is in great shape, with original lock and instructions on the inside. Original K&E placque on the outside says this is Serial #15210. Original agent's celluloid card is on lower front of the case (from L.A., Calif.). No other 'tools'/attachments with it. Buyer pays actual postage. Will ship overseas!
