Description
This is a late 1800's or turn of the century W.& L.E.Gurley Compass Transit. The box is wood covered in leather and has an old paper label inside that says Leupold & Voelpel, Portland Oregon. The tripod is also here and has brass or bronze fittings also marked Gurley. All parts of this look to be brass or bronze. It is in good working order. The box is 11" X 8" X 5 1/2". The scope is 7" and it the instrument stands 10" high. Winning bidder to pay all shipping and handling charges. Please give all images time to load. Also please see all my other auctions for more really neat stuff!! Thankyou.

I just learned from a fellow e-bayer that the transit is from 1909 and a scarce form. The number 936 on the compass dial tells that. Thankyou for the information.
