**** UPDATE *****
In response to
several emails...
This transit is signed "J. Cassella, 1870"
and also there is a number "105"
The 3 1/2 inch eyepiece is
present and also in excellent condition.
With the eyepiece
in place the telescope measures 11 1/2 inches long when fully
extended. The clear image is upright and there are no
crosshairs.
Also present are 2 adjusting tools and the lens
cap.
The transit measures only 8 inches tall from the 3 inch
diameter base to the top of the flat edge of the vernier
circle.
The case measures 9 3/4 inches tall and comes with
it's original key.
I have some extra photos that show the
eyepiece and tools but I am having difficulty hosting them at the
moment... stand by.
