~ GURLEY TRANSIT w/ TRIPOD & CASE ~

A vintage  '1880's - 1900  W & L.E. GURLEY TRANSIT '.  This instrument includes the tripod and original mahogony case, unmarked plumb bob and sun shade.  Case shows wear and age with a grain crack across the top, but is sound, closes and secures the transit properly.  The leather strap is age-brittle and broken but the buckle is present.  Straight-leg mahogony tripod is overall sound without damge or cracks  and includes the thread screw-on cover marked to Gulery.  The transit has an 8 1/2 telescope in excellent working order producing a sharp, clear, erect image with mulitiple crosshairs.  4 3/4 inch diameter compass also in good woring order with a properly functioning needle lock-down.  Dial is marked in flowing script to Gurley.  Expected age worn paint / jappanning.  Otherwise an excellent example accessory-complete and in excellent working condition --- Email questions ---  Bidder inspection welcome by appointment -  Buyer pays shpg  -  No packing/handling fees  --- Thank you

  1. Contact each other. The seller (stuatisl ) and the high bidder (socrates43 ) should contact each other within three business days to discuss payment and shipping details.

  2. Leave feedback for the other party once the the seller has received the payment and the winning bidder has received the item.
Leave feedback to seller - Leave feedback to bidder .

Details for the seller and high bidder(s):
The seller should contact the winning bidder(s) with information on the total cost, including shipping, and where to send payment. The winning bidder(s) must pay the seller directly for the item(s), and it is the seller's responsibility to fulfill the order when payment terms are met. The binding contract of the auction is between the winning bidder and the seller.

If the seller is unable to establish contact with the high bidder within 3 business days of the end of the auction, he/she may lose the place as winning bidder, and be at risk for receiving negative feedback and/or a Non-Paying Bidder warning, both of which can ultimately lead to suspension from eBay.
