This antique Surveying Transit was made by the
A. Lietz Co., San Francisco. This transit comes with its
original parts, wooden carrying case, and tripod. The transit
is labeled, "The A. Lietz Co., San Francisco; U.S.A. #13350."
The sighting mechanism seems to work good, the bubbles in all
the levels are good, the compass seems to work fine, and all
of the adjusting screws are free moving and in good working
order. I really see no flaws. Please view photos and email
with any questions. Overall this vintage transit is in very
good condition, considering its age. The A Lietz Co, est.
1882, Manufacturers of Engineering, Surveying, Mining, and
Nautical Instruments. Main office and factory, 632 Commercial
Street, San Francisco. This scientific instrument is a must
for a optical or surveying collector. The tripod is in very
good working condition, with the locking mechanism free
moving. The box is faded but in good condition. Winner of
