Description
This compass is made by F. A. Heisely, Harrisburg; the compass box is 6 1/4" O. D., the sight vanes are 6 1/2," and overall the compass measures 14." The needle spins freely and the needle lifter works smoothly. A prior repair (plugged hole) is seen on the north leg of the main arm. The compass shows beautiful early engraving with very bold numbers and a 5-pointed star at "north." Cashier's checks and money orders are preferred; personal/business checks require ten days to clear.
