Description |
You are bidding on an excellent Theodolite type solid brass Halden Transit. Transit is marked on the compass Halden & Co. Manchester & London. The rack and pinion focusing telescope extends to 12" in length. Level is intact and in good working order. Stadia are also well visible. Transit has twin verniers and 2 magnifiers all in good working order attached to the Circle of degrees which has silvered scales, is marked Diff. of Hypo & Base. It has an enclosed chamfered silver scale with 2 verniers and single magnifier (originally had two) on tripod attachment. This is an Excellent example of a Late 19th to early 20th century english transit. Please email any questions.
