Description |
Antique Transit surveying instrument, tripod, and instrument case, J.W. Holmes / Batavia, NY, serial number 119. The instrument is brass, with 2 levels, brass lens cap, completely adjustable, and measures 21.5" long x 8.75" high. All points of adjustment are in working order. The lens is perfect. Just above the levels is engraved: "J.W. HOLMES / BATAVIA, NY." The tripod is oak with brass fittings, and 56.5" tall, fixed length. Stamped on one leg of the tripod is: "PROPERTY OF C.C. CONKLING & C.S. _______." The carrying case is oak, with brass hinges, 23" x 10" x 8". This beautiful set of antique surveying equipment is in very good++ condition. Due to the size of this set, a handling fee will be added to shipping costs. WE ACCEPT PAYPAL, CASHIER'S CHECKS, AND MONEY ORDERS. PERSONAL CHECKS ARE HELD 10 DAYS PRIOR TO SHIPMENT.
