ANTIQUE SURVEYORS LINKED CHAIN MEASURE 4P This is an Antique Surveyors Linked Chain Measure Instrument that measures the Old Measurement of Links. It consists of 100 Metal Links that each measure 1 Link in Length and has Various Tabs attached along its length and Brass Handles at each end. Starting from One End and Working through to the other after the 10th Link is a Long Oval Shape Tag, after the 20th Link is a Tag with a Single V Cut Out of it, after the 30th Link is a Tag with 2 V's Cut Out of it, after the 40th Link is a Tag with 3 V's Cut Out of it, after the 50th Link is a Tag with a Large Oval Shape, after the 60th Link is a Tag with 3 V's Cut Out of it, the 70th Link tag is missing, after the 80th Link is a Tag with a Single V Cut Out of it, after the 90th Link is a Long Oval Shape Tag. Surveyors used this type of Metal Chained Link Measurement Instrument at the Turn of the Century, they are Hard to Find these Days. This Antique Surveyors Chain Measure Instrument is in Very Good to Excellent Condition and it is a Great Piece of Surveying from the Past and Would Make A Great Addition to Any Collection.
