This is a 66ft surveyor’s chain made by Kuffel & Esser Co. Of New York. It has brass handles one is marked Kuffel and Esser New York with the # 7786D below the name, the other handle is marked TESTED above K&E also has 66Ft Iron #8 on it. This is a heavy chain with pressed links not braised. All the tally tags are there except the round center tag. The chain is oxidized but not pitted. All in all a nice chain by an American maker. I will box this and ship myself to keep the cost of shipping as reasonable as possible. The chain weighs about 7 ½ lb. Thanks for looking Dave. Shipping will be $3.20+ insurance, US Priority Mail.
