Description

This is a great addition to any collection. This Gurley's surveyors tool is in mint condition.The transit is completly brass. The brass mount has 3 screws to hold transit to mount. Their are markings of a #3 on the mount. (3x's) Their is also the engraving of W.L.E. GURLEY TROY N.Y. (1X) The lense covers are intact. The transit measures 7 1/2" tall, the scope is approx. 9" long. The mount measures 3" wide, 20" long and 1/8" thick. The mahogany dovetailed case is 21" long, 8 7/8" wide. It has 2 brass closure hooks and 1 brass keyhole. The original Gurley trade label is under the lid. A+++++.
