Gurley Light Mountain Burt Solar Transit - Circa 1890

This is a rare mountain size (smaller) Burt Solar transit that dates to about 1890.  It has an 8" scope, 4" compass needle, and 5 1/2" plate. Optics are good, cross hairs good, all motions good.  It comes with the original leather covered box with the stand for solar attachment storage and tripod as well as the other little items in the photos including a 1950 Gurley ephemeris. The box has an old BLM tag on it and some other markings I cannot read. This was no doubt an old General Land Office transit used to survey public land sections and townships.
